Ms. Self stated if it passes as it is with 2- 214(d) not on there, they could always introduce <br />a bill to amend it. <br />Mr. Campbell stated the Commission should at least send a letter of support. <br />Ms. Self stated they should send it to Connie Kiriu, Mayor, Lincoln Ashida and the <br />Council Members. <br />Commissioner Campbell made a Motion to draft a letter in support of reinstatement of <br />2- 214(d) to the ballot initiative in its original intent onto the ballot. Seconded by <br />Commissioner Flores. Chair Replogle called for a vote on the Motion, Commissioner <br />Springer, Commissioner Garovoy, Commissioner Campbell, Commissioner Flores and <br />Chair Replogle voted aye by voice vote, with Commissioner Yung, Commissioner <br />Walker and Commissioner Kaneshiro opposing by voice vote, motion carried. <br />Mr. Campbell to draft the letter and Ms. Garovoy would proof the letter. It will be <br />emailed to Stacie Waltjen. <br />• Schedule time line for completing December 31, 2006 list to the Mayor. <br />Chair stated we need to have list by October, compile a report by November and finalize <br />the report by December. <br />ANNOUCEMENTS <br />Chair stated Ms. Self handed out a press release dated September 7, 2006 <br />regarding the shoreline of proposed development at Ke6puka Protected Forever. <br />The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the <br />Department of Liquor Control, Conference Room, 101 Aupuni Street, Suite 230, Hilo, <br />Hawaii 96720 <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Commissioner Garovoy moved to adjourn the meeting; Commissioner Campbell <br />seconded the motion and all members voted aye.
