HAWAII COUNTY PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE AND NATURAL <br />RESOURCES PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br />September 8, 2008 <br />Department of Liquor Control Conference Room <br />75 -5722 Hanama Place, Suite 1107 <br />Kailua -Kona, Hawaii 96740 <br />Present: Chair Hannah Springer <br />Commissioner Bill Gilmartin <br />Commissioner Larry Komata <br />Commissioner Kim Garcia <br />Commissioner Terri Markovich (arrived 10:27 a.m.) <br />Commissioner Sarah Moon <br />Absent: Commissioner E. Kalani Flores <br />Alex Kelepolo, Secretary <br />Others Present: Amy Self, Deputy, Corporation Counsel <br />Harry Yada, Property Manager, Finance <br />Darryl Inaba, Property Specialist <br />Stacie Waltjen, Legal Clerk III <br />Ms. Springer called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. <br />Mr. Yada introduced Mr. Darryl Inaba to the Commission. Mr. Inaba recently started as <br />a Property Specialist in the Finance Department. <br />Mr. Inaba introduced himself to the Commission. Mr. Yada stated that Mr. Inaba would <br />be doing a lot of the real property issues; whatever he's not doing, Mr. Inaba will be <br />doing. <br />Statements from the Public on Agenda Items <br />None <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />Ms. Springer stated they will defer the August 11, 2008 minutes to the next meeting. <br />Department of Finance Report <br />Mr. Yada stated he's been told that the 1.2 million check is in the mail regarding the first <br />of the Kawa`a purchase. The County "fronted" the monies from the PONC funds so this <br />will be a reimbursement to the PONC fund from the Legacy Land Program. <br />
