So, Commissioners, I know you’re all aware of this but I’d like to remind you all <br />that the rules require us to review and examine all the evidence before we render our decision. <br />Therefore, I’d like to confirm that each of you has taken the time to review the record that we received <br />from the Hearings Officer, which includes not only the report but all of the exhibits and all of the other <br />information and attachments that we’ve gotten over this course of time, and there is a lot of it. So, to summarize, we have before us an application for Hu Honua <br />LLC to amend the Applicant’s original SMA Use Permit No. 221 which was originally approved on <br />April 9, 1985 and allowed the establishment of a coal storage area, a coal burning energy plant and <br />related improvements. The current amendment request is to allow the Applicant to do the following <br />under the existing SMA Permit, convert the facility’s fuel source from coal to wood biomass, upgrade <br />the boiler and boiler building, upgrade the facility’s air pollution control equipment and construct a <br />13,430-square foot chipping storage building, construct a 8400-square foot chip processing building <br />14 <br /> EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />
