Household Characteristics and Trends In 2007, there were 439,085 households in Hawaii, UPI, om 386,824 households in 2000. The average household size decreased from 3.04 people in 2000 to 2.84 people in 2007:1 S The number of households (and average household size) in each county in 2007 were as follows; Honolulu, 305,000 (2.9 people); Maui, 51,000 (2.8 people); Hawai 'i, 63,000 (2.75 people); and Kauai, 22,000 (2.8 people)."
