Hawai‘i Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />August 12, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br /> Finance <br /> Commendations <br /> Other Departmental Activities <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Continued discussion on current and new committees. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> (approximately 10:00 a.m.) <br />To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai‘i Police <br />Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, and to consult with <br />Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, <br />duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (5) and the <br />Hawai‘i County Charter Section 13-20 (b). <br />Investigation and Deliberation of Complaints <br /> HPC 11-20: Complainant alleged that while being processed at the police <br />station, an officer yelled at him, pushed him with his wrist, and used <br />unnecessary force while fingerprinting him. <br /> HPC 11-21: Complainant complained about the manner in which he was served <br />a trespass notice and alleged that an officer threw his food and backpack in a <br />trash barrel. <br />Status Report of Internal and Referred Complaints <br />ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> The Police Commission’s next monthly meeting will be on Friday, September 9, 2011, <br />in the Puna Conference Room, Hawai‘i County Building, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo. <br /> Collection of files and documents. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: <br /> If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and/or services to participate in <br />this meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.), please call the Police <br />Commission’s office at 932-2950 at least three days prior to the meeting. <br />
