Standardization Committee <br /> Page 2 <br /> June 12, 2003 <br /> Lt. Manuel Bega stated that the Special Response Team of the Police Department's <br /> request was to allow the purchase of a specific brand for the purpose of a sole brand <br /> designation and that the ammunition was tested by the FBI and found to be superior and <br /> outperforms other ammunition tested and is believed to be top of the line ammunition. <br /> The Police Department's Uniform and Equipment committee which includes <br /> representatives from police union SHOPO reviewed and approved the ammunition being <br /> requested for use for the Special Response Team. <br /> After discussion by committee members,Patricia Engelhard moved and Lincoln Ashida <br /> seconded to approve the Police Department's request with the condition that they present <br /> written justification or the FBI report showing the Federal Tactical ammunition being <br /> requested outperforms and is superior to other ammunition tested .
