COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 347 <br />06 149 Draft 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE NAMING A COUNTY RECREATIONAL FACILITY <br />(TMK: (3) 7 -5- 018:020) PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 15, HAWAPI COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(2005 EDITION). <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Findings and purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to designate the <br />name "Wai`aha Beach Park" for that certain County recreational facility, identified by Tax Map <br />Key: (3) 7 -5- 018:020, pursuant to Chapter 15, Hawaii County Code, which establishes <br />guidelines for naming of such facilities. Section 15- 67(a)(2)(A), HCC, provides that any "open <br />area" County facility shall, inter alia, be named for its neighborhood, community, region, district <br />or other identifying geographical location. The subject parcel is an open area park located in <br />Kailua Kona. The site is located along AIN Drive. The name "Wai`aha Beach Park" refers to <br />the bay which the site surrounds. <br />SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 15 -68 of the Hawaii County Code, that certain open <br />area County park identified by TMK (3) 7 -5- 018:020 is hereby named "Wai`aha Beach Park ". <br />SECTION 3. Section 15 -68.1 of the Hawaii County Code shall be amended to add <br />"Wai`aha Beach Park" to the list of Kona parks. <br />SECTION 4. In the event that any portion of this ordinance is declared invalid, such <br />invalidity shall not affect the other parts of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 5.
