Water Closet, 3.5 GPF Flushometer <br />Valve b 3' 4.0 6.0 <br />Whirlpool Bath or Combination 2" 3.0 <br />Bath/Shower <br />waste receptors shall be sized based on the total drainage capacity of the fixtures <br />that drain therein to, in accordance with Table 7 -4. <br />Provide a 2" (51 mm) minimum branch drain beyond the trap arm. <br />3For refrigerators, coffee ums, water stations, and similar low demands. <br />4For commercial sinks, dishwashers, and similar moderate or heavy demands. <br />'Buildings having a clothes washing area with clothes washers in a battery of three (3) or <br />more clothes washers shall be rated at six (6) fixture units each for purposes of sizing <br />common horizontal and vertical drainage piping. <br />6Water closets shall be computed as six (6) fixture units when determining septic tank <br />sizes based on Appendix K of this Code. <br />Trap sizes shall not be increased to the point where the fixture discharge may be <br />to maintain their self <br />(57) Amending Section 703.2. Section 703.2 is amended by adding an exception <br />provision to read: <br />"Exception: When approved by the administrative authority, other <br />tables of loading limits based on engineered studies and testings <br />may be used in the sizing of drainage and vent piping. The <br />administrative authority may require supporting data, prepared and <br />stamped by a registered professional engineer or architect, <br />submitted for each project. The use of higher loading limits <br />extracted from different tables for the same project or drainage <br />system is not permitted." <br />(58) Deleting Section 704.3. <br />Section 704.3 is deleted. <br />(59) Amending Table 7 -5. Table 7 -5 is amended by adding at the end of Note 4: <br />"or four (4) - 1.6 gallons per flush water closets on any horizontal <br />branch or drain." <br />(60) Amending Section 707.4. Section 707.4 is amended to read: <br />"Each horizontal drainage pipe shall be provided with a cleanout at <br />its upper terminal, and each run of piping which is more than fifty <br />(50) feet (15.2 m) in length shall be provided with a cleanout for <br />each fifty (50) feet (15. m) or fraction thereof, in length of piping, <br />and at each change in pipe size up to four (4) inches (101.6 m)." <br />29 <br />
