Hawaii County Women’s Hall of Fame – Committee <br />No report. <br /> <br />C. Teen Dating Violence Prevention (DVD) – N. Kelly/C. Kitaoka <br />C. Kitaoka said she has the DVD somewhere in her office. <br /> <br />N. Kelly reported that the books were distributed to the schools and various <br />agencies. She wondered if the DVDs should be given to those schools that received <br />the books. <br /> <br />N. Kelly mentioned that the Prosecutor’s Office will be bringing in two presenters <br />from Oahu on August 4, 2011 for a presentation on Teen Dating Violence Prevention <br />in Hilo. She signed up to see the presentation. If the presentation is good, N. Kelly <br />said she would like to bring this presentation to West Hawaii in the near future in <br />collaboration with our community partners. The target group is out of school youth <br />which is goodwill. There will be a presentation for teens in the morning and a <br />presentation for adults who work with teens in the afternoon. She will email <br />J. Viernes about the status of the presentation and she can forward the information <br />to CSW members. <br /> <br />K. Peters suggested that the DVDs be given to the LifePlan group who will be doing <br />the mentoring project at Kealakehe High School. C. Kitaoka recommended that <br />CSW wait to see how the Teen Dating Violence Prevention presentation goes before <br />distributing the DVDs. <br /> <br />D. Mentoring – K. Peters <br />K.
