Mr. Kahawaiola' a moved to allow five minutes for public testimony at the public hearings. Seconded by Mr. Middlesworth and carried by the following vote: Ayes: Commissioners Carvalho, Kahawaiola` a, Kahui, Kanuha, Melrose, Middlesworth, Poindexter, Ugalde, and Chair Siracusa. Noes: None. Absent: None. MR. UDOVIC: So, with the Commissioners permission, I will work with Chair Siracusa to come up with a proposed dialogue to be used for the purposes of introducing every one of the public hearings. MR. MELROSE: Can I suggest too, I liked the Chair's suggestion of having available the Bill, and to list those things; but more than that, I would like to have the twelve or whatever items that are listed there, that guide this, printed on a sizable piece of paper and bounded to a foam core or some way that would be displayed at every one of our meetings, so we could point to it, we could ask if they are aware of it; it would be actually visible in the room. It should start with one person, one vote; which is kind of a key process. MR. UDOVIC: I don't think that is an issue; I can work with Karen on that; excellent idea. MR. MELROSE: I would like to have that handout be with us every time. MR. MELROSE: As well as the maps of last year, and past years, so that people get a sense of history and there are some visuals around to point to. CHR. SIRACUSA: Some of those maps are already made, because we had them up here on the wall at the last meeting. So that should be easy to do. MR. UDOVIC: We can probably get those mounted to make sure they are easily displayed. CHR. SIRACUSA: Okay, any other comments about meeting procedures? In that case, I'll take the vote to close file.
