I] I. Status of vision Action Items <br />Overview: <br />The VisionKeepers' responsibility is to monitor progress of the Living Action Plan. In the past <br />year, the VisionKeepers have contacted the Lead Solution Partners (LSPs) to receive updates <br />on the status of their Actions and to ensure timely progress. Outlined below are highlights of the <br />Actions and `Easy Wins' which are underway or have been implemented in the past 18 months. <br />A more detailed synopsis will be included in the updated Action Plan. <br />Actions: <br />The following Actions are listed according to their Focus Area, Status, and Lead Solution Partner <br />Focus Area 1: Creating Economic Vitality <br />Actions Implemented <br />LSP: Alice Moon & Company <br />Action 1.51 <br />30,000 people attracted to Hilo through the organization 7 support of existing <br />events, such as the 6th Annual Black & White Night, 3rd World Heritage Festival, <br />and the 5th Chinese New Year <br />Action 1.54 <br />A new celebration, "Helana Aloha No Ka Moi Kalakaua ", held on April 14, 2007 <br />LSP: County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency <br />Action 1.14 <br />Bike racks installed on Hele -on buses <br />LSP: County of Hawaii Dept. of Research and Development <br />Action 1.51 <br />Events in Hilo supported and marketed through the Hawaii Tourism Authority's <br />(HTA) County Product Enrichment Program (CPEP) <br />Action 1.52 <br />Economic impact of events and activities in Hilo studied through the HTA's CPEP <br />Action 1.53 <br />Big Island Visitor's Bureau (BIVB) supported in efforts to attract the Conventions <br />and Meetings Industry <br />Action 1.54 <br />NEW festivals and events supported <br />Action 1.72 <br />Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers Association and the Big Island Farm Bureau <br />partnered with for educational tours of the Hilo Farmers Market, and for the Taste of <br />the Hawaiian Range events <br />LSP: The Palace Theater <br />Action 1.51 <br />Existing local -style festivals and events supported such as the May Day Lei <br />Festival, the Chinese New Year Gala, and many more <br />Action 1.54 <br />"Hawai'iana Live ", a new cultural tourism program, created and performed every <br />Wednesday morning <br />EDH 2025 Annual Report Jan 2006 —June 2007 <br />Page 7. <br />
