RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 563 <br />the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency <br />Hilo redevelopment plan, taking <br />social effects of redevelopment <br />business tenants, property owne <br />community; and <br />adopted on March 5, 1980, requested <br />to prepare and develop a downtown <br />into consideration the economic and <br />on the elderly residents, small <br />rs of the area, and the people of the <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency has adopted its <br />Downtown Hilo Redevelopment Plan, as prepared by Belt, Collins, <br />& Associates, Ltd.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency's Downtown Hilo <br />Redevelopment Plan has been studied, reviewed, and approved by the <br />Planning Commission of this County; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has studied and reviewed the redevelopment <br />plan, and has conducted a public hearing thereon and after much <br />discussion and deliberations, this Council finds that the Downtown <br />Hilo Redevelopment Plan, dated February, 1985, containing the <br />amendments adopted by Council Resolution 20 -85, is in accord with <br />sound planning principles and is in the best interest of the people <br />of this County; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that the redevelopment area <br />described in the plan is a blighted area within the limits of the <br />uruan county; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 53 -6, Hawaii Revised Statutes requires the <br />final approval of a redevelopment plan by resolution of the County <br />Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII that it hereby approves the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency's <br />Downtown Hilo Redevelopment Plan, February 1985. <br />
