VisionKeepers Goals <br />July 2007 through June 2009 <br />1. Strengthen relationships with Lead Solution Partners. <br />&/In October 2007, the VisionKeepers began inviting Lead Solution <br />Partners to make presentations at our monthly meetings. So far, eight <br />Lead Solution Partners have presented, including the Pacific Tsunami <br />Museum (twice), the Hilo Bay Watershed Advisory Group, the Wailuku <br />River Walk Steering Committee, the Hawaii County Fire Department, the <br />Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, the Hilo Farmers Market, the <br />Department of Environmental Management, and the County Mass Transit <br />Agency. <br />VThe VisionKeepers have made numerous presentations to Lead <br />Solution Partner representatives, boards, and committees. <br />VBeginning April 2008, a representative from the Hilo Downtown <br />Improvement Association began attending all VisionKeepers monthly <br />meetings. <br />VEach VisionKeeper is also a Focus Area Mentor. Besides ensuring that <br />the Actions keep the intent of the respective Focus Area, they also <br />provide support to Lead Solution Partners. <br />�i/ In preparation for the Town Meeting, the VisionKeepers hosted three <br />Lead Solution Partner Gatherings. In addition, a Debriefing Luncheon <br />Meeting and a post -Town Meeting Gathering were held to discuss "next <br />steps" for implementation. <br />2. Fund and Showcase Easy Win Projects. <br />&/The VisionKeepers secured funding from the County Council which <br />was contracted to the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association to work <br />on these Easy Win Projects: Hanging Baskets, an Interpretive Initiative, and <br />revitalization of Liholiho Park in Downtown Hilo. <br />3.
