The Vision Concept is a series of five (5) illustrations, hand -drawn by local artist Charles <br />Snyder, that provide a visual rendering of how Downtown Hilo could look in 2025. It <br />enhances the written EnVision Downtown Hilo 2025 Plan by providing a visual <br />representation of design - related features in public spaces throughout Downtown Hilo. <br />Earlier this year, the draft Vision Concept was presented at numerous venues around <br />Downtown Hilo. At these events, comments and feedback were collected and used as <br />the driving force in finalizing the Vision Concept. The end result is a set of illustrations <br />that have been truly brought to life with brilliant watercolor. <br />The Vision Concept is intended to inspire dialogue and further the formation of <br />collaborative partnerships to create a livable and vibrant Downtown Hilo. <br />For more information, please email edh2025(a)gmail.com, or call 961 -8288. <br />Funds for the Vision Concept were provided by a Grant from Group 70 Foundation Fund <br />of the Hawaii Community Foundation and the County of Hawaii Planning Department. <br />EnVision Downtown Hilo 2025 is a grassroots community planning and implementation <br />process in collaboration with the County of Hawaii Planning Department.
