Splitting the current district in this way would result in the two parts being lumped into districts whose <br />interests are vastly different and would overwhelm the agricultural interests of Hamakua. <br />Hamakua must remain intact and not subject to "gerrymandering ". <br />Hawaii is not Texas. <br />Sincerely, <br />Joan Lee Dempster <br />COMM. 48.65 <br />
