Do not vote for Plan A or any plan that would split Hamakua into seperate
districts..
Hamakua has a rich agricultural history and enjoys a rural way of life. It cannot be effectively
represented remotely from Hilo and the dry side of Waimea. The issues that face this area of the island
are vastly different from those facing downtown Hilo and areas of West Hawaii such as Puako and
Kawaihae. Hamakua deserves full representation on the County Council, not partial representation from
multiple Council Members in far off places.
Mahalo Nui,
Blake McNaughton
Blake McNaughton
Kamehameha Schools
Literacy Instruction &Support Program
PO BOX 132
Pepeekeo Hi 96783
808 - 756 -1054
blakem @hawaii.edu
COMM. 51.1
11/4/2011
