It cannot be effectively <br />represented remotely from Hilo and the dry side of Waimea. The issues that face this area of the island <br />are vastly different from those facing downtown Hilo and areas of West Hawai `i such as Puako and <br />Kawaihae. Hamakua deserves full representation on the County Council, not partial representation from <br />multiple Council Members in far off places. We are uniquely our own district now. <br />This is prime agricultural land for diversified agricultural crops that can make us sustainable and an <br />island utopia.
