RECESS: At 11:00 a.m. the Chair called for a recess. <br />RECONVENE: The meeting was reconvened at 11:20 a.m. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />COMM. 50: SUPPORT STAFF FOR 2011 REDISTRICTING COMMISSION <br />From County Clerk, Jamae K. K. Kawauchi, dated November 3, 2011, disclosing <br />that Commission Secretary, Karen Eoff, who formerly worked for Council Chair, <br />Dominic Yagong, now works for Council Vice - Chair, K. Angel Pilago as the <br />District 8 Legislative Assistant. The Secretary is to continue to serve as support <br />staff for the 2011 Redistricting Commission. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: Do I have a motion to close file? <br />Mr. Melrose moved to close file on <br />COMM. 50. Seconded by Ms. Ugalde. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: It has been moved and seconded to close file, is there any <br />discussion? <br />MR. KAHAWAIOLA`A: Congratulations, Karen. <br />MR. MELROSE: If it's necessary for us to have this notice, that's fine, but Karen is <br />excellent, and we are so glad to have her with us. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: Totally; she has gone above and beyond and so has the rest of <br />the staff, too. This is on here for Jamae's comfort zone. <br />The motion to close file on COMM. 50 was <br />carried by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Carvalho, Kahawaiola`a, <br />Kahui, Kanuha, Melrose, Middlesworth, <br />Poindexter, Ugalde, and Chair Siracusa. <br />Noes: None. <br />Absent: None. <br />IN <br />
