Kawauchi <br />Hawaii County Clerk <br />RE: Request to Call Special Meeting <br />I respectfully request that the Redistricting Commission call a Special Meeting on <br />December 16, 2011 or on December 17, 2011, to discuss the final redistricting plan <br />approved by the Redistricting Commission on November 30, 2011, and to address <br />allegations of violations of the Hawaii County Charter, the Hawaii County Code, the <br />Hawaii State Constitution and Federal laws prohibiting gerrymandering. Please advise the <br />Clerk's office as soon as possible, but no later than 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 10, <br />2011, if a meeting will be called, so that staff can prepare the agenda and meet the 6 -day <br />posting deadline. <br />JKIC <br />cc: K.
