In 2005, he started working for CSE as a Community Service Worker III
as a chore supervisor and later as a transportation supervisor.

Walter is dedicated, efficient, and well organized; he is always on top of his game. The seniors
love and appreciate the caring way in which he provides transportation services. Walter makes
sure CSE vans are well maintained so we can provide essential transportation for Kona’s
seniors.

In the 1970’s Walter worked as a fireman for LA county. In 1981, he moved to Hawai‘i where he
started and ran his own business for twenty years. Walter enjoys gardening and hiking. He is very
active with his church and is a proactive community member.

Mahalo Walter Fisher for the many years of dedicated service to Elderly Activities Division.
Congratulations on your retirement and your presence will be greatly missed!!!

Mahalo Mamie Bramlett

Mamie Bramlett has been a CSE volunteer for about 12 years. She started volunteering a few years
after retiring from Bank of Hawai‘i as a service manager. She volunteered for about six years at the
Kohala CSE office, answering phones, filing and doing other duties requested of her. When she
moved to Kona, Mamie started volunteering in the Kona CSE office.

Mamie has also volunteered for the Kupuna Hula Festival and was on the advisory committee for the
Food Basket. For many years she chaired Kohala’s Relay for Life. She is an active member with the
Kohala Senior Club, and volunteers at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center. She is presently a charter
member and director of Soroptimist Club, an organization that promotes women.

Mamie loves to take flowers to welcome new neighbors to her neighborhood and present flowers to
ailing neighbors to make them feel better.
