From left are <br />Alice Furusho, Satsuki Funai, Miyoko Mitsunaga, CSW Julie Pasquale. <br /> <br />2010 Resolutions! <br /> <br />This is the time of year when many people make resolutions to improve their health, wealth, and well being. <br /> <br />The Hawai‘i County Nutrition Program can help, by providing activities such as free hearing screenings, <br />blood pressure checks, and well balanced meals. <br /> <br />Each of our 15 sites has different daily activities such as fitness classes, dance classes (ex. hula/line dancing), <br />and sports activities such as bocce ball and yoga. <br /> <br />Nutrition sites are located in each major district. For more information on nutrition sites in your area, <br />call the Hawai‘i County Nutrition Program office at 961-8726. <br /> <br />PUNALU‘U PICNIC <br /> <br />Seniors from the Pāhala, Nā‘ālehu, and Ocean View Nutrition Sites and Senior Clubs got together for a <br />picnic at the famous Punalu‘u Black Sands Beach Park. <br /> <br />Tuning up their ukulele are, from left, Susan Pua and Carol Javar of Pāhala, with Queen Akiu of Nā‘ālehu. <br /> <br />Learning to use "pocket talkers" to improve their hearing are, from left, Ruth Galloway and Gladys Kuroda <br />from the Kea‘au Nutrition Site.
