Coordinated Services for the Elderly <br /> <br />NEW PROGRAM DIRECTORS FOR CSE <br />Timothy Hansen, originally from Minnesota, is the new East Hawai‘i CSE Program Director <br />who started on December 01, 2008. <br /> <br />Ms. Fran Takamiyashiro, originally from Oahu, is the new West Hawai‘i CSE Program Director <br />who started on December 01, 2008. <br /> <br />CSE’S NEW WEST HAWAI‘I CSW I <br />Janice Klingenberg, joined Kona’s CSE Ohana as a CSW I on November 17, 2008. <br />Originally from Illinois, Janice has lived in Kona for the past 20 years. She loves living <br />in a place that allows her to Cycle and Swim 365 days a year. <br /> <br />Big Island FGP Recognition <br />The FGP’s Annual Recognition is a time of expressing thanks, mahalo and appreciation for a <br />job well done. Mr. Ron Mata, State Director and Irene Shaneff, Program Specialist from Oahu <br />(shown on the far right) were guests and assisted in thanking the ladies. Debbie Nakaji, <br />Director of Services for Seniors (on the end of the second row to the right) did a great job <br />as Mistress of Ceremonies. The event was also attended by representatives from the various <br />schools where the FGP’s give classroom assistance. Over all, they were thanked in grand style. <br /> <br />Four Plane Rides in a Day <br />Pictured above are the FG’s on the island of Kauai along with Pat Kalili, Program Specialist <br />for the Big Island and Derrick Ariyoshi, newly appointed State Director for the FGP. Following <br />the resignation of the Program Specialist on Kauai, Pat took on a temporary interim <br />assignment of working with the FG’s there. It was fun, challenging and logging in flying <br />time along the island chain was part of the day’s work. A new Specialist for Kauai is now <br />in place and Pat is settled back into only Big Island tasks. <br /> <br />Kupuna News 2 Information and Assistance (808) 961-8777
