Retired and Senior Volunteer Program <br /> <br />RSVP Honors Hilo Town Volunteers <br />The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Hawai`i County held its final recognition <br />for the year by honoring the Hilo town volunteers. In attendance were 410 volunteers <br />and guests and everyone enjoyed the lunch of prime rib, stuffed salmon and teri <br />chicken. Special recognition was given to volunteers with 5, 10, 15, 20+ years of <br />service. Each volunteer was presented with either a certificate or service pin. <br /> <br />32 Year Volunteer: P&R Director Patricia Engelhard, <br />Council Chairperson Peter Hoffmann, Volunteer Violet <br />Ma'e, RSVP CSPA Clarita Corpuz, mayor's representative <br />Napua Brown, RSVP Director Charles Ikeda and <br />Councilman Bob Jacobson. <br /> <br />25 Year Volunteer: P&R Director Patricia Engelhard, Bob <br />Jacobson, Volunteer Yukie Kashimoto, Peter Hoffmann, <br />Clarita Corpuz, Charles Ikeda and Napua Brown. <br /> <br />20+ Year Volunteers: Waichi Ouye(24), Makiko Ohashi <br />(23), Pat Engelhard, Helen Young(22), George Yamamoto <br />(22), Roselyn Victorine(22), Bob Jacobson, Ethel Yonemitsu(24), <br />Lei Tsuji(22), Pete Hoffmann, Sawayo Ono(22), <br />Michiko Asai(22), Dorothy Williams(21) and Napua Brown. <br /> <br />20 Year Volunteers: Bob Jacobson, Clarita Corpuz, <br />Mary Yamada, Pat Engelhard, Maxine Nathaniel, Peter <br />Hoffmann, Francis Markham, Virginia Maeda and Napua Brown. <br /> <br />Kupuna News 9 October - December 2008 <br />
