Coordinated Services for the Elderly <br /> <br />TRANSPORTATION SERVICES <br />Coordinated Services for the Elderly ( CSE ) is <br />most known for providing essential <br />Transportation Services for the elderly and <br />individuals with disabilities who are unable to <br />obtain other means of transportation. <br /> <br />In order to keep up with the increasing <br />demand for transportation; CSE received one <br />( 1 ) 12 passenger raised-roof van from a <br />2004 DOT Grant Proposal for the Hamakua <br />District. <br /> <br />Coordinated Services for the Elderly still <br />needs to replace its' aging fleet of vehicles in <br />order to accommodate these needs. Your <br />contributions are greatly appreciated in the <br />maintenance and upkeep of our vehicles. <br />Suggested contribution amount for all services <br />is $2.00 per trip, however any amount <br />contributed is greatly appreciated. <br />"Mahalo for all your help!!!" <br /> <br />Transportation is provided for medical <br />appointments, essential shopping, resource <br />agencies, and other needed errands. CSE <br />allows seniors and those with disabilities to <br />remain in the home independently with our <br />assistance. <br /> <br />CSE's Vans are ready to provide you service <br />based on priority of needs. <br /> <br />2008 SENIOR <br />ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Both East & West Hawai`i CSE staff provided <br />transportation for the RSVP Council <br />Representatives, EAD Senior Club and Nutrition <br />Council Presidents, and staff in attending the <br />"2008 Elderly Activities Division's Senior Advisory <br />Council Meeting," which was held on January 25, <br />2008, at the Waimea Community Center in <br />Waimea. <br /> <br />EAD Operations Director, Harold Bugado, and <br />EAD's Program Directors from the Retired & <br />Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Senior <br />Employment Training Program (STEP), <br />Elderly Recreation Services (ERS), Special <br />Programs (SP. PRGS.), Hawai`i County Nutrition <br />Program (HCNP), & Coordinated Services for the <br />Elderly (CSE), provided program information and <br />dispersed informational activity & event fliers (for <br />the next 6 months — January to July 2008). <br />Senior representatives also discussed district <br />problems and concerns. <br /> <br />Lunch, & refreshments was provided by the <br />Kamuela Senior Baseball Club. A total of 80 plus <br />were in-attendance. The guest speaker was Parks <br />and Recreation Director, Patricia <br />Engelhard. Lucky number drawings was also part <br />of the program with prizes being donated by Ace <br />Hardware - Kailua -Kona, and various EAD <br />programs. <br /> <br />The next I &A District Team Meetings will be held <br />from July 1-3, 2008, throughout the island. <br /> <br />Kupuna News 2 Information and Assistance (808) 961 -8777 <br />
