CSE HOLDS LUNCHEON FOR <br />SENIOR COMPANION VOLUNTEERS <br />On Friday, February 08, 2008, the East <br />Hawai`i Coordinated Services Staff hosted the <br />Annual Senior Companion Luncheon and <br />Awards Ceremony at the Kow's Restaurant in <br />Hilo, which was also part of celebrating the <br />"Chinese New Year." <br /> <br />An elegant program of special gifts and <br />certificates were presented by the Senior <br />Companion Program, our EAD Assistant <br />Operations Director, Sidney Kanno, and <br />CSE's Hilo, Puna, & Ka`u District Community <br />Service Program Assistants. <br /> <br />"Senior Companions" from East Hawai`i were <br />honored for their dedication, commitment and <br />countless hours in providing In-home Support <br />Services to the frail elderly in need of <br />assistance on a one to one basis to maintain <br />independent living at home. <br /> <br />This marked the 26th Anniversary for CSE's <br />participation as a Volunteer Station for the <br />Senior Companion Program on the Big Island. <br />A "Big Mahalo" to the Senior Companions and <br />staff for all your hard work!!! <br /> <br />East Hawai`i's Senior Companions and CSE Staff: <br />seated front row (L-R): Linda Eblacas, CSPA Puna <br />and George Mueller.
