§5-12 HÒCC <br />AWAII OUNTY ODE <br /> <br />(5) ÐWherever in this Code reference is made to the International Property Maintenance Code, the <br />provisions in the International Property Maintenance Code shall be deemed only guidelines and not <br />mandatory.Ñ <br />(6) ÐWherever in this code reference is made to the International Fire Code, means the HawaiÒi County <br />Code, Chapter 26, Fire Code.Ñ <br />(7) ÐWherever in this code reference is made to the International Energy Conservation Code, as <br />adopted by the County of HawaiÒi.Ñ <br />(8) Other Laws. Any provisions of this code to the contrary notwithstanding, the following shall be at <br />all times in full force and effect, and in situations of conflicting requirements, the stricter shall be <br />complied with: <br />(A) HawaiÒi Revised Statutes; <br />(B) Rules and regulations of the State Department of Land Utilization; <br />(C) Ordinance of the County of HawaiÒi; <br />(D) Rules and regulations of the Planning Department; <br />(E) Subdivision rules and regulations adopted pursuant to the subdivision chapter of the County <br />Code; <br />(F) Rules and regulations of the County Department of Water Supp <br />(G) Public health regulations, State Department of Health; <br />(H) Rules and regulations of the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations; <br />(I) Fire Chapter of the County Code; <br />(J) Airport zoning regulations of the State Director of Transpor <br />(K) All materials specified in this code shall not contain asbes <br />(2012, Ord. Adoption of rules. <br />The administrative authority may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91, HawaiÒi Revised Statutes, necessary <br />for the purposes of this code. <br />(2012, Ord. Right of entry. <br />Upon presentation of proper credentials, the administrative authority or such personÓs assistants may <br />enter at reasonable times any building or premises in the County to perform any duty imposed by this code, <br />provided that such entry shall be made in such a manner as to cause the least possible inconvenience to the <br />persons in possession. An order of a court authorizing such entry shall be obtained in the event such entry is <br />denied or resisted. <br />(2012, Ord. No. 12-27, sec. 2)5-147-11 <br />Section 5-15. Deputies. <br />(a) In accordance with the prescribed procedures and with the approval of the administrative authority, the <br />building official shall have the authority to appoint technical officers, inspectors, plan examiners and <br />other personnel necessary to support this code enforcement agency. The building official may deputize <br />such inspectors or employees as may be necessary to carry out the functions of this code enforcement <br />agency. Such employees shall have powers as delegated by the building official. <br />(b) The building official may deputize volunteers to temporarily carry out functions of the code enforcement <br />agency in the event of a major natural disaster. <br />(2012, Ord.
