OLD BUSINESS: <br />4) NKCDP AC SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (30 minutes) NKCDP AC members will <br />report on the recent activity of the subcommittees: <br />a. <br />Growth Management The subcommittee will report on land use applications <br />submitted to the Planning Department. <br /> <br />b. <br />Public Access The subcommittee will provide an update on the trail at Kohala <br />on the <br />Kai; update on activities at Hapu'u-Kapanai'a; update Kauhola Lighthouse <br /> purchase and celebration; Upolu Airport Area restoration; update on Coast <br />Niuli'i parcel; <br />Guard road; update on Kohala Kai; update on a new and grant of <br /> <br />easement documents. <br />c. Infrastructure A The subcommittee will report on activities at the Mahukona <br />Beach Park. <br />d. Infrastructure B The subcommittee will provide updates on ongoing efforts <br />of coordination of routes for the proposed electric loop for North Kohala and <br />transmission of geothermal power to Oahu; view plane protection and rural <br />infrastructure. <br /> <br />e. Affordable Housing The subcommittee will provide updates on affordable <br />housing and land. <br />f. Agriculture The subcommittee will provide a report on the characteristics of <br />Important Agricultural Lands (IAL) according to Act 183 and IAL incentives for <br />landowners through Act 233; a report on the Initiative for Citrus Cooperative; Soil <br />reconditioning at existing and projected lands; and strategic agricultural <br />development for North Kohala. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />SET AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: <br />DATE AND LOCATION FOR NEXT MEETING: <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five working days <br />Notice: <br />(prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A <br />lobbyist means any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in <br />any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or <br />administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials. {Article 15, <br />Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code} <br />Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation <br />to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no <br />later than five days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations.
