know about the event and how will it be managed. <br />Affordable Housing and Rural Infrastructure and Viewplane <br />: Collin voiced his <br />concern about the need for County Council membersto support the affordable housing <br />project but not at the median price which local people cannot afford. Susan reported <br />that discussions continue on the Scenic Byways project. A major concern is the potential <br />for increased traffic. Favorable aspects include funding for roads, lookouts and turnouts. <br />Residents of Hawaiian Home Lands are favoring the use of our rural infrastructure model <br />outlined in the CDP for their planned wellness park on 72 acres between the highway <br />and shoreline, starting at Honokoa Gulch Bridge. On their individual parcels, the <br />residentsare interested in erosion prevention and contour land planning. <br />Infrastructure: <br />Giovanna presented the proposed boat ramp ballot and made a motion <br />to accept it as proposed, the motion was seconded and the vote was 7 yeas and 1 <br />abstain. The proposed process for conducting the poll was presented and a motion was <br />made and seconded to accept the proposal as written. It was agreed that no age limit <br />be placed on those casting a ballot. Hermann stated thathe could not participate since <br />he had abstained from the ballot vote. The vote cast 7 yeas and 1 no. Bob asked Joe <br />why he had voted against this, Joe stated we should all participate in conducting the poll <br />and it is the responsibility of the Action Committee to address this issue. Hermann <br />agreed that he will participate in the polling. A revote motion was made and seconded <br />and unanimously carried. <br />COMMUNITY MEETING: The question of delaying the February meeting due to the <br />possible change in the AC structure was explored. It was decided to commit to the <br />February meeting. A motion was made and seconded to have an investigatory <br />committee to plan the meeting. The motion passed unanimously and Bob, Joe, <br />Giovanna and Richard volunteered to be on the committee. They will report back at the <br />January meeting.
