Staff confirmed that all text documents (such as the minutes and agendas) are <br />44 <br />accessible thru the Laserfiche link but any picture documents are still located on the <br />45 <br />KCDP web-site. <br />46 <br />Economic Development <br />47 <br /> <br /> <br />Sub-Committee provided updates on the activities of the Court House, University, the <br />48 <br />University Road, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (and their sub-committees; energy, <br />49 <br />sustainability, health care, education, employment), new Hospital Site selection, Kona <br />50 <br />Judiciary site selection and the County’s Electric Car fleet. <br />51 <br /> <br /> <br />The sub-Committee was asked to connect/interact with organizations such as the Farm <br />52 <br />Bureau, or the other Ag Organizations. The importance of getting these interactions <br />53 <br />started are even more important in South Kona because of the impending changes with the <br />54 <br />University and Judiciary moving north. <br />55 <br />TOD Owner Coordination <br />56 <br /> <br /> <br />Staff Provided the Sub-committees with a list of TMKs located within the TODs. <br />57 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussing with the Department issues that have been occurring or applications within the <br />58 <br />TODs to identify the possible solutions. <br />59 <br />Land Use, Environmental & Cultural Resources <br />60 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion occurred of how the Department addresses time extension requests for Change <br />61 <br />of Zone or Special Management Area Major Use Permits in relation to the implementation <br />62 <br />of the CDP. For time extension requests that need to go thru the public hearing process <br />63 <br />comments are made for what the CDP identifies or addresses. How institutionalized the <br />64 <br />CDP is within the Department? <br />65 <br /> <br /> <br />The Action Committee requested that the sub-committee report be forwarded on to the <br />66 <br />Planning and Administrative Permit Divisions of the Planning Department. <br />67 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion with the Deputy Directors of the Finance Department and Planning <br />68 <br />Department to address the 98 K for possible use. <br />69 <br />Transportation and Public Facilities <br />70 <br /> <br /> <br />The sub-committee head discussed priority projects with the DPW Director Warren Lee; a <br />71 <br />comprehensive approach to the makai arterial parkway, a continuation of mauka-makai <br />72 <br />connectors, Ali‘i Drive Improvements addressed in a comprehensive plan, and advance <br />73 <br />preliminary planning for Ane Keohokalole full build-out for multi-modal/complete street <br />74 <br />design and construction. <br />75 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
