ATTACHMENT C WASTE COMPONENT DEFINITIONS <br />(53) Industrial Sludge means sludge from factories, manufacturing facilities, and refineries. <br />Examples: This component includes paper pulp sludge, and water treatment filter cake <br />sludge. <br />(54) Treated Medical Waste has the same meaning as treated medical waste in Section <br />25023.5 of the Health and Safety Code. <br />(55) Bulky Items means large, hard -to- handle items that are not defined separately, <br />including furniture, mattresses, and other large items. Examples: This component includes <br />all sizes and types of furniture, mattresses, box springs, and base components. <br />(56) Tires means vehicle tires. Examples: This component includes tires from trucks, <br />automobiles, motorcycles, heavy equipments, and bicycles. <br />(57) Remainder /Composite Special Waste means special waste that cannot be put in any <br />other component category. Examples: This component includes asbestos - containing <br />materials, such as certain types of pipe insulation and floor tiles, auto fluff, auto - bodies, <br />trucks, trailers, truck cabs, and artificial fireplace logs. <br />Mixed Residue <br />(58) Mixed Residue means material that cannot be put in any other component categories. <br />This component includes mixed residue that cannot be further sorted.
