Hearing none, thank you very much, the four of you, for coming forward. I’m going to <br />ask T.J. to come forward and -. But please don’t go because Commissioners may have other <br />questions of you individual-. Yes, please do not go. I know it appears like it could be a lengthy <br />meeting. But, T.J., will you please come forward. Please raise your right hand. Do you swear or <br />affirm to tell the truth on this matter now before the Leeward Hawai‘i County Planning <br />Commission? <br /> <br />MCANIFF: Yes, ma’am. <br /> <br />GIFFIN: Will you please state your name and your position. <br /> <br />MCANIFF: My name is T.J. McAniff. I’m a resident of Waiki‘i Ranch for eight years, and I’m <br />president of the Waiki‘i Ranch board of directors. <br /> <br />GIFFIN: Thank you very much. You heard some of the questions, and I, we are very interested to <br />hear what the board has done. And I know you have not taken a vote yet, at lease that’s my <br />understanding -. <br /> <br />MCANIFF: That’s correct. <br /> <br />GIFFIN: But you must have some sense of the feeling of the board and whether or not they endorse <br />this event. <br /> <br />MCANIFF: Let me address first the issue that the board has not acted. What the board did was <br />approve Tim Bostock seeking the permit to proceed. <br /> <br />GIFFIN: Today’s permit? <br /> <br />MCANIFF: Yes. <br /> <br />GIFFIN: The request for permit, okay. <br /> <br />MCANIFF: And the reason the board had not acted because there were a lot of details having to do <br />with the contractual relationship between Tim Bostock Productions and Waiki‘i Ranch to insure <br />that we were free of liability. Now, we are at the point right now where I think all of those issues <br />and details have been settled.
