District Wide Subcommittee (5 Minutes) <br /> (1) The Puako Community Board of Directors met on October 3 and heard a <br /> report from Achahn Schulze regarding his position that the Hapuna Beach <br /> State Park should remain open for unrestricted access. The PCA Board has <br /> taken a position that the Park should be managed to protect the sense of <br /> place, the environment and the community. The Board has schedule future <br /> discussions with Park staff and is reviewing the Hapuna Recreational Area FEIS. <br /> (2) Update and report on traffic issues and projects in South Kohala. <br /> E. OLD BUSINESS (15 Minutes) <br /> (1) Report on County participation in advertising for positions on various boards, commissions <br /> and committees throughout the County of Hawaii <br /> F. NEW BUSINESS <br /> (1) Discussion by Bill Brilhante, Corporation Counsel, of letter sent to Corporation Counsel <br /> inquiring into the specific authority and jurisdiction of the SKCDP Action Committee. <br /> (2) Report by B.J. Leithead-Todd, Planning Director, concerning submissions to the AC, <br /> This was discussed at the September 25th meeting between the Planning Department <br /> for specific types of applications, to be reviewed for compliance with the CDP. <br /> and the SKCDP AC and NKCDP AC Chairs and Vice Chairs. <br /> G.
