3.Land Acquisition at Waipae and Ahalanui: Barbara will offer a revised version of OshiÓs <br />draft letter to the Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission <br />(PONC) supporting the acquisition of properties in proximity to the Waipae Marine Life <br />Conservation District and Ahalanui Beach Park. (20 min) <br />4.Facility Improvements at Ahalanui Beach Park: Dan and Keikialoha will introduce a letter <br />from the AC to the Hawaii County Council urging them to include the $6 million re- <br />appropriation for facility improvements at Ahalanui and Pohoiki Beach Parks in the 2012-13 <br />CIP Budget request from the Department of Parks & Recreation. (20 min) <br />5.Environmental Assessment for DLNR Proposal for Commercial Harvesting of Forest <br />Products and Reforestation of Waikea Timber Management Area (WTMA): Larry will <br />brief the AC on a proposal by the DLNR, Division of Forestry and Wildlife to allow for the <br />commercial harvesting of native and non-native forest products in the WTMA and the Planning <br />DepartmentÓs response for pre-consultation comments for the required Environmental <br />Assessment. (15 min) <br />6.Kapoho Wastewater Project: Barbara will report on the status of the Kapoho Wastewater <br />Project what progress has been made toward identifying a suitabl <br />the adverse impacts from existing and future private systems. <br />7.Hui O Puna Makai: Farris Etterlee will introduce the AC to Hui O Puna Makai, a forming <br />community-based committee looking to represent the interests of the various subdivisions and <br />communities along the Red Road area of south Puna. (10 <br />8.Communication No. 2012-7 (Roadway Connectivity and the PEAR): Written request from <br />Stephanie Bath seeking County action to address the lack of roadway redundancy in Puna, <br />safety issues with the Puna Emergency Access Road (PEAR), and access to funding records for <br />the PEAR.
