RECESSED The Chair Pro Tem called a recess at 10:18 a.m. <br /> <br />RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 10:30 a.m. <br /> <br />APPLICANT: COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />(SMA 12-051) <br /> <br />Application for a Special Management Area (SMA) Use Permit for the extension of La‘aloa <br />Avenue as a two-lane, 60-foot wide collector roadway for approximately 1,900 feet to connect with <br />Kuakini Highway (Alternative Alignment 3, Cross Section Alternative B), La‘aloa 1 and 2 and <br />Pāhoehoe, North Kona, Hawai‘i, TMK: 7-7-004: 068, 7-7-008: 029, 114, 120 and 7-7-28: 007. <br /> <br />The Commission took up this item at 10:30 a.m. with approximately 16 people from the public in <br />attendance. <br /> <br />(SEE EXHIBIT B) <br /> <br />MINUTES – The Commission took up approval of the following minutes at 12:45 p.m.: <br /> <br />September 20, 2012 <br />It was moved by Commissioner Hickcox and seconded by Commissioner Iokepa that the minutes be <br />approved as submitted. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in <br />attendance. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br /> <br />1.Status of applications heard by Leeward Planning Commission that are pending before County <br />Council – None. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS – None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT – There being no further business, at 12:46 p.m., it was moved by Commissioner <br />Hickcox and seconded by Commissioner Nelson that the meeting be adjourned.
