Hawaii Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />December 21, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />• Police Commission's meeting schedule for 2013. <br />• Election of Chair and Vice Chair for 2013. <br />(CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 1:00 P.M.) <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai'i Police <br />Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, and to consult with <br />Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, <br />duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the <br />Hawai'i County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). <br />INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINTS (briefly summarized below) <br />• HPC 12 -29: Complainant alleged that officers took his medical marijuana. <br />• HPC 12 -30: Complainant reported that her son was missing. She alleged that the <br />police report discredited her, and that the police are holding information from her. <br />• HPC 12 -32: Complainant alleged that officers took his medical marijuana. He also <br />alleged that an officer threatened him and refused to show his badge. <br />• HPC 12 -33: Complainant alleged that officers took her medical marijuana and did <br />not initially identify themselves. <br />• HPC 12 -34: Complainant alleged that officers took her medical marijuana. <br />• HPC 12 -35: Complainant alleged that officers took medical marijuana from him and <br />did not give a receipt. <br />• HPC 12 -37: Complainant was arrested for disorderly conduct. She alleged that <br />officers were abusive, manhandled her, and ignored her medical condition. <br />• HPC 12 -38: Complainant alleged that an officer would not make his assault report. <br />• HPC 12 -40: Complainant alleged that an officer threatened him when he requested <br />to have his complaint reclassified. <br />• HPC 12 -41: Complainant alleged that proper notice was not given to Title 10 when <br />he was denied a gun permit. <br />
