a. Petition No. 2012-03: Review draft order dismissing petition submitted by <br />Cheryl King, which alleged violations of Section 2-83 of the Ethics Code <br />when County employees were allowed to attend union meetings, on County <br />time, in which political campaigning took place. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Balsis asked if the members had been able to review the draft order, and Mr. <br />Henricks and Mr. Hisashima said they had. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion and vote:Mr. Henricks moved to approve the order as drafted, Mr. Hisashima <br />seconded the motion, and they and Mr. Balsis voted aye. <br /> <br /> <br />b. Petition No. 2012-04: Review draft order dismissing petition submitted by <br />Tiffany Edwards Hunt, which alleged that County Clerk Jamae Kawauchi <br />“has been very selective in … dissemination of public information and <br />showed preferential treatment to certain reporters and stonewalling others <br />…” in violation of Section 2-83(a)(3) of the Code of Ethics, that all persons <br />shall be treated in a courteous, fair and impartial manner. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Balsis asked if the members had been able to review the draft order, and Mr. <br />Henricks and Mr. Hisashima said they had. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion and vote: Mr. Henricks moved to approve the order as drafted, Mr. Hisashima <br />seconded the motion, and they and Mr. Balsis voted aye. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion and vote: Mr. Henricks moved to go into executive session for review of the <br />confidential matters agendized therein, Mr. Hisashima seconded the motion, and they and Mr. <br />Balsis voted aye. <br /> <br />11:16 a.m.: The Board left regular session. <br /> <br />* * * * * <br /> <br />11:30 a.m.: The Board returned to regular session for voting on the executive session <br />matters. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Henricks moved to approve the minutes as drafted, Mr. Hisashima <br />seconded the motion, and they and Mr. Balsis voted aye. <br /> <br />b. Review of Confidential Financial Disclosure Forms filed pursuant to Section <br />2-91.1(d), Hawai‘i County Code, by County board and commission members <br />and designated County employees, where personal matters will be reviewed. <br /> <br /> <br />
