5. Mass Transit Discussion: The AC will explore options for re- initiating community discussion <br />on improving mass transit service to Puna communities and bringing specific recommendations <br />to the Mass Transit Agency for implementation. (25 min) <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />1. Subdivision Connectivity Location Action Plan: The Connectivity Subcommittee (Patti, <br />Farris, Oshi & Dan) will report on their progress towards identifying a process and next steps <br />for identifying appropriate subdivision connections. Marlene Hapai will also present revisions <br />to the connectivity site selection criteria originally proposed in Communication 2012 -44 and <br />Communication 2013 -1. (40min) <br />2. Criteria for Action Committee Definition of Community: Farris and Sharon will introduce <br />some suggested criteria or guidelines to help the AC determine the appropriateness of any <br />group or organization wishing to represent any particular community in any actions or activities <br />pertaining to implementing the goals and objectives of the PCDP. (35 min) <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the AC for the March 12, 2013 <br />meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access <br />this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961 -8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days <br />prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication <br />methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged. <br />If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. (Article 15, <br />Section 2- 91.3(b), Hawaii County Code). A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who <br />spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six -month period for the purpose of attempting to influence <br />legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, <br />Section 2- 91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code).
