This would pertain to <br />correspondence to and from other county departments, federal & state agencies and private <br />individual sk orporati on slagenci es . <br />All government boards, commissions and committees are governed by Chapters 91 and 92 of the <br />Hawai `i Revised Statutes. All correspondence for every attached board and commission, such as <br />the planning commissions, the Board of Appeals, PONC, the Police commission, the Fire <br />Commission goes through the department to which it is attached. Therefore as a committee <br />administratively attached to our department, we are required to keep track of all your <br />correspondence and have it available as a government record for public inspection. <br />As a final reminder the Hawai `i County Charter, Section 6 -7.2 identifies myself as the Chief <br />Planning Officer of the County and as such am responsible for advising the Mayor, Planning <br />Commissions and County Council on all planning and land use matters in the County.
