Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency Response <br />Meeting held January 22`" , Mountain View Gym 5:30 pm to 7:00pm <br />Attendance: <br />Hannah Hedrick (Fern Forest), Stephanie Bath (Hawaiian Acres), Sharon Daun(AC), Terry Daun(Mt View, Fern Forest), Bill Hanson <br />(Civil Defense) Jerry Reiss (Hawaiian Acres), Marlene Hapai (Hawaiian Acres), Dan Taylor (AC,HOIE), Farris Etterlee (AC), Patti <br />Pinto (AC) <br />Meeting Minutes: <br />Call to Order 5:35 p.m. by Chair: Marlene Hapai <br />Approval of Jan. 3rd Meeting Minutes — All approved with the below corrections <br />• #1 - Meeting setup for Jan 20 9 :30am with Bill Hanson <br />■ #3 — No time to schedule first presentation by March 1" so goal is Q2 (April) <br />Name of Committee: All approved "Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency Response" <br />Short term Goals: <br />1. Date/Time Meeting with Bill Hanson — Jan 24`h 9:3 Dam. <br />a. Review Maps <br />b. Questionnaire (start creation to hand out to attendees to see what is in place now) <br />c. Canned Presentation already available <br />d. List of Fire Department Representatives that are responsible for Puna that can come to presentation/present <br />2. Flyer on Emergency Response Mapping <br />The flyer was reviewed in open discussion and the following corrections were agreed upon <br />What Already Exist? <br />Recommendation to add "FireWise" as a presenter - how to protect your home from fires <br />What is Available Now in Your Area <br />Change first bullet to <br />0 "Bring information you have (maps/resources/emergency response plans" <br />Emergency Response Map "Make and Take" <br />Change heading to: <br />"Make and Take" Emergency Response Map at the family and community level <br />Add bullet: "Wish List of Alternative Routes" <br />3. Community Presentation Schedule <br />It was agreed to start with communities that have already been in discussions — A list of Communities will be created <br />aver reviewing the Maps with Bill and then schedule will be formed at the next meeting <br />New Business: <br />Discussion and Adoption of Connectivity Location Criteria <br />Hannah read document and feedback 1 clarification discussion followed. All members agreed to provide written feedback to Hannah <br />by Friday Jan 25th so that the document can be corrected and forwarded to Lamy Brown to be part of agenda of Action Committee <br />Meeting on February 12t`. <br />Bill Hanson (Civil Defense) Communicated his 3 Criteria for community preparedness <br />1. what they know now as the main route out if there is an emergency <br />2. Next Route out if primary route is blocked <br />3. Has the Community built an Emergency Response Plan If they have, then it should be reviewed in order to help make <br />corrections/suggestions. If not, help them create one. <br />By majority vote: <br />Next meeting Feb 250' <br />Meeting adjourned at 7pm <br />
