Senior Training & Employment Program <br />Clyde Yoshida, Program Director, (808) 961-8750 <br /> <br />Success A New Job <br /> <br />Have you noticed a difference at the Kamana Senior Center in the last three years. It is because of Jean <br />Andrade who enrolled in STEP in April 2010 as a Maintenance and Grounds Beautification Aide. She <br />kept the restrooms and classrooms clean and the Japanese garden well groomed. While on STEP her <br />supervisor was Roann Okamura who is the current EAD Director. Her dedication and hard work was <br />greatly appreciated by all. Her hard work did not go unnoticed. When her STEP enrollment ended she <br />was hired in an emergency hire position as a Recreation Technician I by the Parks & Recreation Dept. <br />Dedication and hard work really does payoff.
