Tax Season Ending Soon <br />Tax Season is almost over! CSE once <br />again partnered with AARP to provide <br />assistance for seniors and the public filing <br />taxes for the 2012 year. CSE started <br />taking appointments on January 2, 2013 <br />at 7:45 a.m. with spots filling up quickly. <br />Location sites at the Aging Disability and <br />Resource Center were scheduled on <br />Tuesday and Thursday mornings, starting <br />on February 5, 2013. Also a new site was <br />added at the Hilo Public Library on <br />Saturdays starting February 23, 2013 to <br />meet the increasing needs of the seniors. <br />All tax appointments will end on April 11, <br />2013. This is a free service for individuals <br />who have simple taxes to complete and <br />meets other qualifications. <br />If you or anyone you know is interested in <br />becoming a volunteer for tax preparation, <br />call CSE at (808) 961-8777 and we can <br />forward your information to the AARP <br />Coordinator. <br /> <br />What’s New in North Hilo <br />If you thought you saw a familiar face, you <br />did! It’s Karen Kotaki who is temporarily <br />assigned to the North Hilo District as a <br />Community Service Program Assistant. <br />She continues to provide Outreach, Information <br />and Assistance, Transportation <br />and Chore services to the community from <br />Hakalau Bridge to Kukui Camp Village. <br />You can reach her by calling the <br />Papa‘aloa Office at (808) 962-2101 for <br />more information. <br /> <br />Mahalo and Aloha Tim Hansen <br />Tim Hansen has been with Coordinated <br />Services for the Elderly for the past <br />four years as Program Director III <br />for East Hawai‘i. Tim ’s dynamic <br />personality, quick wit, and wonderful sense <br />of humor will truly be missed by all. We wish Tim the best as <br />he joins the Office of the Prosecuting <br />Attorney.
