Native forest /vegetation not protected bulldozing not controlled <br />everything needs to be more spread apart and not so cramped together the population is <br />growing <br />Vague question .... new Pahoa could be much more attractive. Development along the main rd. <br />should be more attractive. <br />need swimming holes for community in Puna <br />Access to forests and beaches and other areas of natural beauty of Puna and Pahoa that <br />minimizes traffic and natural beauty of the area. <br />No more urban sprawl with shopping centers & no more fast food drive -in -- i.e. Burger King, <br />McDonalds <br />Keep the country, countrylll I I <br />I think it is good to have all of the businesses congregated how they are. <br />Traffic flow and roads inadequate for current population- dangerous. <br />this is a chaotic mess, i see cars on blocks next to schools on highways. pahoa at first glance <br />looks like someone with ADD set it up. <br />Need to ensure we keep the rural character of our town. The community garden by the church <br />is a good example. Farmers markets are good examples. The public pool is fantastic. The library <br />needs to be expanded and have more of a community center feel with more public programs <br />offered, such as workshops and classes. <br />All I care about re this question is that the heart of our beloved little Pahoa town is preserved. It <br />is an irreplaceable piece of history. Protect lava tubes and Ohia trees. <br />would be really nice to upgrade all areas ... is there any grants to help improve the entire "face" <br />of the town? Repaint, repair, renew, etc. its a sweet place but also pretty tacky and rundown <br />looking <br />Land use is hap hazard at best, the village needs to create a master plan that creates a live , <br />work, play environment utilizing a mix of residential /office design, restricting height of new <br />buildings, create design standards that reflect the good aspects of Hawaiiana, include <br />mate ria Is, roofscapes, cover walks on main street. <br />Please make the population of Pahoa aware when there are any requests for zone changes.
