Every body everywhere would love more parking but I think it's pretty good considering the layout of
the town. See my remarks above re the ill- conceived turning lanes into Longs.
not too bad with community center
Ideas for improving traffic flow and parking
Open to public- huge cash and carry
need a light at shopping center inena +g. need public parking Help Luquin's with their lot.
Fix potholes improve parking
need lighted night parking - too dark
use 56 acres parcel for tourist & local parking
Off - street parking is limited and pretty shabby. Too much is jammed between the road and the shops,
keeping the commercial frontage from proper access and making a bad appearance. More remote,
concentrated parking with safe walkways from cars to shops might work.
Parking especially inadequate. More off -road parking would help. In fact, I recommend relocating all
parking to off -road location.
Horrible. Nave the Lupins Lot nd use it for the whole town. Get rid of the current on street parking and
widen the pedestrian area for safety & appeal.
Need public parking. Best placement on a side street (not main corridor). Recommend elimination of
streetside parking on main corridor to make room for sidewalks /pedestrians. Vendors need alley access
on rear side of shops.
Horse and buggy days are gone, or are they. I recommend smaller cars.
I know it will never happen, but I think eminent domain should be used to tear down most buildings on
the makai side of the main street, the street widened with more parking and new development added
further back.
more parking absolutely road to access town beside of main
It would be nice if our roads could better accommodate pedestrians, skateboards, bicyclists, etc.
Parking could be more efficient at the post office and the new lot at Long's etc. is not well planned.
Roads and parking within Pahoa town
Page 10
