Make better parks and make town promote community. not anything offered for young people. Community needs activities for youth beyond sports, churches and scouting. What about music, art, and dance for kids who don't play sports? MORE THINGS FOR THE CHILDREN 24/7 SAFE, FUN, KID CENTER Adult /Senior Activities @ low cost BUILDING FOR SENIORS TO MEET we are a special community, much could be done to help that be a living reality. Many folks like me, don't care for church, but would love opportunities to socialize. Expand library services and parking. Many closeknit communities are an asset to living here. Networking and sharing is happening on a more vibrant level, and this should be encouraged. There should be more space for and easier to meet as groups within the community. The Museum is doing a wonderful service by opening its space to various art and cultural groups, but is limited. A vibrant community -built center that is open to all can become the dynamic life of the village where there is an ongoing community art studio, fitness classes, free school, and cultural events. It could be the apex of many spokes going out to Puna neighborhoods that have local community centers. Need more community— outreach, networking, publicity Need more community service organizations and networking between churches to help each other more outreach with information to churches etc on what is going on could always have more and more access and more advertising of Need to coordinate their work There is no unified connection between all the different churches, community & neighborhood groups We need to really celebrate the diversity of Hawaii and encourage respect among and between groups. Catholic church and many religious groups are not helpful in this way, especially to young women and couples who may need counseling and family planning. Domestic abuse is a big issue as are drugs.
