I would love to see sidewalk restaurants, laughter, music, shops with open doors, wooden store <br />fronts and huli huli chicken. <br />small shops, clean, sidewalks, community and health centers. safety and security walking the <br />streets at night. no additional glowing neon signs. <br />Keeping the buildings similar style. Art on the buildings <br />it is still colorful and unique <br />I want Pahoa town to have the same funky personality, but with enough local jobs and businesses <br />that the current unrelenting poverty is gone. <br />If we have services and improvements in place so we can use this location instead of having to go to <br />Hilo, we can stay in our community and support it ...... that would be heaven.... <br />Pahoa Town 25 years from now should feel the same as it did 25 years ago with updated Medical <br />Services <br />It will still be a place with character, not like Waimea.Maybe no traffic through town [besides <br />catering to businesses, all pedestrian like so many towns in Europe <br />Well I would be 100 years old and if I was still seeing another day I would be happy with just that. <br />This town will grow fast enough on its own and I hope they do not try to make it into another New <br />York, Boston, Chicago, LA of San Francisco. I hope there's very minimal development and that <br />Pahoa Town keeps its small town atmosphere. I hope most of the landscape stays the same and <br />maybe more native plants and trees are added. <br />The rapid advance of commercialism has been averted and he same charm, though expanded, still <br />prevails. There is room for small idiosyncratic and creative people to make their living there. It is <br />100% sustainable with garden plots abounding. <br />Why didn't they let the people know in better ways about this cdp.
