IMPROVE ANIMAL SALVAGE <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Sylvester: OK, next was the improve animal salvage – the discussion <br />objectives to reduce waste and we kind of bounced this <br />around the last few times and it’s a hard one to dig our feet <br />in it, though. So, I would need to hear a motion or something <br />on this if we’re gonna try and do something here. <br /> <br />D. Yoshina: Um, [pause] I move that we [unclear] the discussion <br />[unclear] objectives. <br /> <br />?: I second that. <br /> <br />C. Bailey: I can’t – I can’t hear that. What was that Ike? <br /> <br />D. Yoshina: I move that we reopen the discussion of meat salvage. <br /> <br />C. Bailey: OK, and somebody second it… <br /> <br />T. Lodge: Yes, I second… <br /> <br />?: OK. <br /> <br />Chair Sylvester: Tom seconded. It’s been moved and seconded that we open <br />the discussion on animal salvage. <br /> <br />?: [Unclear] <br /> <br />Chair Sylvester: Yeah, the floor is open to discussion. <br /> <br />?: OK. [Unclear] discovered about 50 animals [unclear] of the <br />ranch… <br /> <br />Chair Sylvester: Yeah… <br /> <br />T. Lodge: ….about 50 animals that were discarded after being shot on <br />Hawaiian Homes Land. You know, our game animals are <br />kind of precious to all of the island and I think that we need <br />to – at some point near – address all of entities that – <br />whether it’s Hawaiian Homes, DLNR, Feds or whatever – <br />that they respect this idea of wanton waste. And, I know that <br />the - Pohakuloa is being [unclear] to try and accommodate <br /> 24 <br /> <br />
