BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Pahoa Village Design Guidelines, attached herein as Exhibit 1, as prepared by the Pahoa Regional Town Center Plan Steering Committee in collaboration with the Planning Department and dated October 2013, is hereby adopted to guide the architectural design and siting of buildings and structures within the Pahoa Village district; and BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning Director, in collaboration with the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee, shall be authorized to make non - substantive amendments to the Pahoa Village Design Guidelines without the approval of the County Council, provided that any such amendments shall be forwarded to the County Council within 30 days of adoption by the Planning Director; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the County Clerk shall forward copies of this Resolution to: the Honorable William P. Kenoi, Mayor of the County of Hawaii; the directors of the departments of Planning, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, and Environmental Management; Lincoln Ashida, Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawaii; Margaret Masunaga, Deputy Corporation Counsel for the Windward Planning Commission; William Brilhante, Deputy Corporation Council for the Planning Department and Puna CDP Action Committee; the Pahoa Regional Town Center Steering Committee; and the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee.
