In April 2013 she
was honored by being named the first AARP
Tax-Aide Fellow in the State of Hawai‘i.
After taxes, her two favorite hobbies were mahjong
and fishing. For 35 years she was well-known as
one of the most successful shoreline fishermen by
Isles Pier. The regulars would always save her a
spot in case she showed up.
Before she retired and began doing volunteer tax
preparation, she was the proprietress of the Stop-n-
Shop Superette in Kaumana for many years. She
then worked as an accountant and office manager
for various local businesses. She passed away on
July 31, 2013.
She is survived by her son Ken Keida Fukushima,
daughter-in-law Tinamarie and grandson George.
Surviving brothers Akira, Thomas, Rupert and
Stanley Omonaka; Sister Kikuyo Sueyoshi; sister-in
-law Margaret Nicholson; numerous nieces,
nephews and their children.
You will be truly missed by all you touched!!!

Kupuna News 2 Information and Assistance (808) 961-8777
