RECESSED – The Chair recessed the meeting at 11:33 a.m. <br /> <br />RECONVENED – The Chair reconvened the meeting at 11:40 a.m. <br /> <br />APPLICANTS: MICHAEL AND CYNTHIA GREENLAW (SPP 13-153) <br /> <br />Continued hearing on the application for a Special Permit to allow the establishment of a satellite <br />learning and education center (school) and water catchment tank business on 4 acres of land <br />situated within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The property consists of four lots and is <br />th <br />located at the very end of 19 Avenue on the west (mauka) side of the road, approximately 2,200 <br />th <br />feet southeast of the intersection of 19 Avenue and Maku‘u Drive, Hawaiian Paradise Park <br />Subdivision, Puna, Hawai‘i, TMK: 1-5-021: 054, 055, 056 and 057. <br /> <br />The Commission took this item up at 11:40 a.m. with 10 people from the public in attendance. <br /> <br />RECESSED – The Chair recessed the meeting at 12:40 p.m. <br /> <br />RECONVENED – The Chair reconvened the meeting at 12:45 p.m. <br /> <br />MINUTES - The Commission took up the following at 12:53 p.m. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes of the November 7, 2013 meeting – It was moved by Commissioner <br />Gonzales, seconded by Commissioner Moses, to defer approval of the minutes to the January <br />meeting. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS – The Commission took up the following at 12:54 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Status of applications heard by Windward Planning Commission that are pending before <br />County Council – Mr. Arai noted tha applications of Vince Kimura (REZ 1018) and B. T. <br />Kuwahara’s (SLU 12-033/REZ 12-155) were approved by the Hawai‘i County Council. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Status of Contested Case proceedings for Connections New Century Public Charter <br />School/CBESS Special Permit Application No. 12-000138 (SPP-12-138) – Mr. Arai reported <br />that the parties agreed to go through the mediation process. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS – The Commission heard the following announcement at 12:58 p.m. <br />Mr. Arai noted the next meeting is scheduled for January 9, 2014, and briefly summarized the <br />agenda items. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT – There being no further business at 12:59 p.m., it was moved by <br />Commissioner Moses and seconded by Commissioner Gonzales that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br /> <br />A T T E S T: Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />Wallace Ishibashi, Chairman Sharon M.
