ISHIBASHI: Yes, go ahead, Director.

KANUHA: One final comment for those who testified today, the Planning Commission just
provides a recommendation to the County Council. So it will go up to the County Council. Their
procedure is it will go to the Council, they will assign it to the Planning Committee. Okay, so the
Planning Committee will hear this particular application, and the Planning Committee will then
make a recommendation to the County Council. They have to have two favorable readings to
pass this to make it into an ordinance. So basically what I’m saying is that there are at least three
more opportunities for you to provide your input to the Council, either as a whole or, you know,
through your representative down there to express your concerns. So it’s not as if this decision is
it, the final decision. Yeah? I just wanted to make sure you guys understood that.

ISHIBASHI: Thank you, Mr. Director. You understand, Brother John?

TURALDE: Thank you.

ISHIBASHI: Okay, moving on.

The discussion ended at 9:58 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Sharon M. Nomura, Secretary
Windward Planning Commission
15
EXHIBIT A
